The Story Behind The Photobook Craft
As long as I can remember, I’ve always been fond of photography as a way to capture moments and preserve them for history. But as the number of personal photographs expanded over time, it became clear that individual photos stored on smartphones, laptops, or in the cloud won’t tell the story by themselves—unless some are carefully selected, edited, and sequenced to create a narrative. This is what the photobook is about: telling a story through photographs.
What began as a personal project to create photobooks for myself, relatives, and friends quickly evolved into a professional endeavor. This led me to launch my website dedicated to photobook design.
My Evolution into Graphic & Web Design
Photobook design is more than just working with photos. It encompasses a deep understanding of composition, typography, style, and printing. To master these elements, I enrolled in ‘Graphic Design’ specialization courses through Coursera learning platform, earning certifications from the University of Colorado and the California Institute of the Arts.
I have acquired several certificates from Creative Practice, an online platform for education and career development in creative industries, focusing on graphic and web design.
In addition, I’ve completed instrumental courses essential for a graphic designer.
I’ve also completed several courses on graphic design by Sean Adams through LinkedIn Learning.
And of course, my certifications in Artificial Intelligence for Designers.
A comprehensive list of all my certifications can be found on my LinkedIn page. Case studies of my projects can be found on my Behance portfolio.
